FAQs

What is microneedling?

Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that involves creating tiny, controlled punctures in the skin using a device with fine needles. These micro-injuries stimulate the body’s natural healing response, leading to collagen production and improved skin texture.

Do I need to be a doctor to perform Dermapen microneedling?
No, you don’t need to be a doctor to be a Dermapen Authorised Treatment Provider. That said, the regulations for cosmetic professionals differ by country. Contact us if you’re unsure.
How long does it take to see results?

Results vary depending on the individual and the specific skin concerns being addressed. Some people notice improvements after the first treatment, but for more significant changes, a series of treatments spaced a few weeks apart may be needed. It can take several months to see the full effects.

Who should not use it?

Korabeauticals V2 Pen should not be used on patients who have active skin cancer in the treatment area(s); open wounds, sores, or irritated skin in the treatment area(s); an allergy to stainless steel or anesthetics; a hemorrhagic (bleeding) disorder or hemostatic (bleeding) dysfunction; are pregnant or nursing; or are currently taking drugs with the ingredient isotretinoin (such as Accutane). Talk to your doctor to see if this treatment is right for you.

How long is the recovery period?

The recovery period after microneedling is usually short. You may experience redness and mild swelling for a day or two following the treatment, but it typically subsides quickly. Some people may also notice slight peeling or dryness in the treated area, which can be managed with moisturizers.

What is the difference between Korabeauticals and other devices?

Korabeauticals Derma Pen stands out from others due to its exceptional features and benefits. Firstly, the inclusion of thinnest cartridges ensures precise and controlled punctures, allowing for more targeted treatment areas and reducing the risk of discomfort during the procedure. Additionally, the pen’s ability to penetrate the skin without risking scarring is a significant advantage, as it promotes safe and effective microneedling without leaving behind visible marks or long-lasting blemishes. With Korabeauticals Derma Pen, users can experience a high level of safety, comfort, and optimal results, making it a preferred choice among individuals seeking a reliable and scar-free microneedling experience.

Can microneedling help with hair loss or scalp conditions?

Microneedling can be an effective treatment for hair loss and certain scalp conditions. By creating micro-injuries in the scalp, microneedling stimulates blood circulation and triggers the release of growth factors, promoting hair follicle health and stimulating hair growth.

How long do the effects of microneedling last?

The effects of microneedling are long-lasting, but they are not permanent. As the natural aging process continues, additional treatments may be necessary to maintain the desired results. Your practitioner can provide guidance on the recommended frequency of treatments for optimal outcomes.

Dermapen 4 also holds the ISO13485 certificate.

Can I use Korabeauticals Pen Treatments™ in combination with PRP?

Yes. You can combine with PRP. Normally the PRP is applied to the skin directly after the microneedling procedure for better infusion. The Blood Platelets from the PRP extraction could also be applied to the skin.

Can I reuse Korabeauticals Cartridges multiple times?

The Korabeauticals cartridges are designed for single-use only. It is essential to use a new, sterile cartridge for each derma pen session to ensure optimal results and prevent the risk of infections or skin irritations.
